Veterinary Assistants

We love our veterinary assistants at Medical Lake Veterinary Clinic and our clients do too! They provide just the right touch of love and medical care and we appreciate them so much. Our assistants complete a training program at Medical Lake Veterinary Clinic when they are first employed, followed by regular trainings throughout the year.

Breena, Vet Assistant

Breena has 3 dogs, Abby (3/4 Malamute, 1/4 Mastiff), Shelby (Jack Russel Terrier), Sage (Pit Bull); 1 cat, Oscar (Siamese); and a bearded dragon, Jasmin. Breena is a life long resident of Medical Lake and has many ties to the community. Outside of animals, Breena enjoys knitting, crocheting, and reading. She has a certificate in Veterinary Assisting from the New Tech Skills Center.

Interesting facts: She was Vice President of the Medical Lake FFA Chapter and was a mentor and participant in the Medical Lake FFA Veterinary Science Team that went to state competition.






Emma, Vet Assistant

Cheyenne has many years of experience in retail sales. She is pursuing veterinary assistant certification through Penn Foster College. She has two pets: Binx, her four year old black cat; and Bailey, her three year old Golden Retriever. Cheyenne enjoys painting, hiking, and reading.









Hannah, Vet Assistant

Hannah graduated with honors in veterinary assisting from the New Tech Skills Center. She anticipates becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT). In her free time, she enjoys walking the family black labs, Gunner and Sadie.

Interesting fact: Hannah was in a Musha Marimba musical group for many years, performing throughout the region.











Jenissa, Vet Assistant

Jenissa has a bachelor's degree in Children's Studies and Sociology. She and her husband, Keefer, have two children, Sophia and Amari. Their family is rounded out by Diva, a Yorkie/Papillon and Zoey Rose, a Blacksmoke Tuxedo. Jenissa enjoys camping, boating, swimming, and family time.

Interesting facts: Jenissa moved to Medical Lake when she was three and grew up in our wonderful town. After marrying at the age of 22, she moved with her military husband to several different locations including Portugal. They moved back to Medical Lake after the birth of their daughter.









Monique, Receptionist

Monique, has many years of managerial experience in the banking industry. Monique and her husband, Daniel, have one son, Skylar. They operate a hobby farm which includes three dogs, one cat, fifty chickens, eight goats, two ducks, one goose, two pigs, and two guinea hens. Monique makes soap and cheeses from her home raised goats. She also produces her own food which is a huge interest/hobby. Teaching and learning farm life with her son is a large part of her life as well.

Interesting fact: Monique's grandparents owned and operated the Central Coast Renaissance Fair in California. Monique spent sixteen years of her life growing up at the Fair.








Natalie, Vet Assistant

Natalie has a bachelor's degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Management and a master's degree in Geography. She enjoys horseback riding (hunter/jumpers), hiking/backpacking, baking, and traveling. Natalie and her husband, Travis, have one dog Chester, a Golden Retriever/Chow cross.

Interesting fact: She is a triplet.









Phenix, Receptionist

Phenix has extensive management experience in the restaurant industry. He has a chocolate lab named Riley, who loves playing fetch. Phenix enjoys being outdoors capturing the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, one picture at a time. He also absolutely loves spending time with his son, Truman, and soon to be fiancé.

Interesting fact: Phenix lived on the Hawaiian Islands for a year and a half.









Rachael, Vet AssistantRachael has a bachelor's degree in Business Management. Rachael and her husband, Steven, have two dogs: Zoey (Yorkie) and Zeus (Pitbull). She is pursuing her Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) degree. She enjoys baking, fitness, hiking, and hanging out with her husband and two fur babies!

Interesting facts: Rachael is from Michigan. She has lived in Medical Lake for three years. Her husband is stationed at Fairchild AFB.

Kennel Assistants

Medical Lake Veterinary Clinic partners at times with a local non-profit organization to provide job skills training for youth in our community. In this program, our kennel assistants receive valuable training and learn to be responsible workers under the direction of our veterinary assistants.
